Stay With Us For A Bit At The Kitty Pants Ranch.

Nestled in the majesty and mystery of Santa Cruz California's Second Growth Redwood Forest there is a precious little cabin (left) fully furnished and awaiting you.


Schedule a one to three month stay at The Kitty Pants Ranch and take the time to: write your next creative or academic work, journal, draw or paint your next series, write some music, learn Reiki, learn how to make a variety of Silk-Route recipes, brew beer, learn about the Redwoods and California Coastal habitats, learn some new skills, share your skills, and get back in touch with yourself and the Earth with a personal Creative and/or Spiritual Retreat at The Kitty Pants Ranch.


The cabin accommodates up to two adults. Reservations range from a minimum of one month to a maximum of three months. Retreat Packages are listed to the top right. Click on package title for terms and details. All retreats are offered on a work exchange basis.


Examples of types of labor you may be assigned while on Retreat may include but are not limited to: cutting and clearing brush, digging holes, minor repairs, garden maintenance, Art and building materials preparation, animal maintenance, assist with structure installation.

 

YOU must be: at least 21 years of age, a fluent English Speaker, able to dig a hole and fill it back up, and lift at least 50 lbs.


It is suggested YOU bring: robe & flip-flops (for the shower), pocket knife, your pillow, bath towel and beach towel, book of postage stamps, re-useable water bottle, sketchbook and/or journal.

 

It is REQUIRED YOU provide for yourself: clothes, toiletries, sundries and food (other than work day meal), materials and supplies needed for your personal project/work, protective gear (work boots, gloves, goggles, masks, etc...).


You MAY bring one or more of the following with prior notice: a canoe, a kayak, a surf board, a bike, a portable easel, a chain saw. 


Check-in is at 11AM on Sunday. Day of Check-in is considered "Day One" of the retreat and includes program and facilities orientation. Each retreat is customized to the visitor and the current/seasonal labor needs of TKPR. One meal (lunch) will be provided by TKPR on days when a 5 hour shift is worked. Visitor will inform TKPR of any dietary restrictions upon reservation. TKPR will provide a schedule of work shifts upon confirmation of reservation. The cabin is professionally cleaned between each visit. No housekeeping services are offered during your stay. Visitor is expected to clean up after themselves. The cabin is a private space except in the case of emergency. One child, a minimum of 13 years of age, may accompany a parent or legal guardian for any of the packages indicated as available for two people. Check-out is no later than 3PM. Portfolio submission (up to three images of three pieces with bio and statement) is required for workshop/studio access consideration. Back to back reservations may be available after completion of first time reservation. Reiki Teacher Retreat is available only to those who have completed the Reiki I-III Retreat at TKPR. All Reiki instruction and attunements are performed by Larissa and assisted by Omar. Three Month Creative Retreat concludes with an exhibition that is open to the public. There is a piano on site available to use for music focused Creative Retreat packages.
