Bishop Brody Pants - aka Brody, Brodingus, Brodaliscious (b. 2018)
Brody is a pure bred Border Collie. He was a generous gift from Larissa's parents when the Dahroug's purchased The Kitty Pants Ranch. Brody is skilled at guarding, herding, eating and loving. Do not be fooled by his affection, however. Brody is "aggressively loving" and will do anything to protect his home and his family. Coyotes cower in his presence! Rats and other rodents meet their maker at his jaws! He spars regularly with his sensei, Sassylass-Sassafrass. Brody has been studying military techniques for some time now and is a master at strategically placing turd-tacular land mines. In his studies he has also explored installation Art. His aesthetic sensibilities are evident in his land mine compositions. His hobbies include all balls, seeking out and tasting new delicious poop varieties, giving poop kisses, and collecting ticks and sticks.
Sassylass-Sassafrass - aka Sassy, Sassinator, Sassy-cat (b.2008)
Sassylass was brought to the Dahrougs as a wayward kitten by fellow black cat, Sneaky Pete, when she was just a tiny kitten. Street-kitty Pete couldn't bare the thought of another black-kitty bringing herself up on the streets of Santa Rosa and dragged her to the Dahroug's back door for rescue before she could be scooped up and taken advantage of by Satanists or neighborhood alley-cats or turned into a street-pizza under some car tire. Sassy was and remains a fierce and skilled fighter, but don't let that tough facade fool you! She is a sweet snuggle-bug and has a deep appreciation for music and fine cans of sustainably caught tuna and bonito flakes. When she is not giving Brody his daily lesson she enjoys toasting herself by the fire and rolling in cat nip. While sometimes curious about what is outside the front door she much prefers her life wrapped up in quilts on cushions to her early days on the streets. She misses her elder sisters and brother: Miss Kitty Pants, Star Puff, Sweet Cheeks, and Mr. Meekus-Peekus very much.
The Cluckers: Poop-Foot, Tootie, & Snootie (b. 2019), Fluffer-Nutter & Baby-Cakes (b.2020)
In Spring of 2019 The Dahrougs adopted five pullets from Westside Farm & Feed. The group of pullets included three Buff Orpingtons: Big-Momma, Poop-Foot, and Doll-Face, and two Barred Rocks: Tootie and Snootie. Sadly, Big-Momma, the bravest and most respected chicken, sacrificed herself to save the others from a sneaky Red-Shouldered Hawk a few days before Christmas 2019. The Cluckers were grief-stricken by the loss and still honor Big-Momma every time they are out and about in the yard. In late July 2020 Doll-Face and Poop-foot passed away due to egg-laying issues. They were both lovely birds and are deeply missed by the Cluckers and The Dahrougs. In early August 2020 two new chicks joined the Clucker family: Fluffer-Nutter, a Light Brahma and Baby-Cakes, a Black Sex-Link. Fluffer-Nutter and Baby-Cakes are both very silly and enjoy playing pranks on their Mummy. Tootie has stepped up as the bravest chicken and enjoys perching on shoulders and catching live worms and Snootie loves to follow and share all the barn-yard gossip...but most certainly at an arm's length. All four relish "chicken snacks" like: berries, red onions, parsley, and mealworms. MMMMMM. Fresh eggs.
