The Kitty Pants Ranch is a 12.5 acre second growth redwood forest in the Santa Cruz Mountains. With historic architecture, domesticated animals, and wildlife, it is the private ranch, home, of American Multi-disciplinary Fine Artist and Reiki Master/Teacher Larissa Dahroug and her family.
The Dahrougs bought the property from the Mitchell family in 2018 in an active effort of historical and environmental conservation and preservation. The Mitchell Family formerly held the property for 65 years. It is the mission of the Dahroug family to maintain the architecturally historical home, co-habitate with the Second-growth Redwood Forest in as natural a way as possible, rehabilitate habitat where necessary, protect the watershed and wildlife for generations to come.
The California Coast Line is under great pressure and in much danger. The very special ecosystems and habitats under threat effect the greater health of environment(s) of the entire Country.The land was formerly logged for manufacture of railroad ties for the Union Pacific Railroad. The property was then purchased, established, and the main house constructed by Dan Bronaugh in 1932 as the private home and retreat for he and his wife Ida. The Bronaughs called the property Idan Woods.
